WHO AM I?

Hi, I’m Justin. As a UX designer, my goal is simple: Understand user struggles, and design solutions that make sense. I thrive on empathy and believe the best digital experiences are the ones that feel effortlessly easy to use.
Better experience.
‍

For real people.

HOW I BEGAN

My path to UX design started unexpectedly while studying Computer Programming and Analysis. Introduced to web design, I quickly realized my code was mediocre—but my curiosity was unmatched. User flows, interface layouts, information architecture... connecting needs to a digital solution gave me a sense of fulfillment I hadn't found anywhere else. After graduating, I decided to pivot from building the engine to designing the driver's experience, diving headfirst into UX design.

FINDING UX DESIGN

After graduation, my research into frontend development led me to UX design—and everything clicked. I began taking online courses, and with every lesson, it felt less like studying and more like finding a calling. It started with fictional prompts, progressed to designing digital tools for family, and now I'm reaching out to local businesses to offer my services. What started as online curiosity quickly grew into a hands-on obsession with solving real-world problems.

MOVING FORWARD

Looking ahead, my journey is just getting started. I am incredibly eager to step into a collaborative team environment where I can learn from seasoned mentors, challenge my design thinking daily, and push the boundaries of what I can build.

Full Stack Project: GottaGoGrocery
Simplify the journey from finding a recipe to preparing a grocery list.

Overview
Planning a meal often means jumping between recipe websites, copying ingredients, remembering what is already at home, and creating a separate shopping list. This fragmented process can lead to unnecessary time spent organizing before a meal can even be prepared. GottaGoGrocery was designed to bring these steps together into one simple experience. Users can search for a dish, view its ingredients, customize their shopping list based on what they want to purchase, and send the completed list to themselves through SMS or email.
‍
The Goal
The goal was to reduce the load of meal planning and make the transition from recipe discovery to grocery shopping faster.
